Sabin Duvert: *Mordath took a step back, his hand to his chin, and couldn't
help but give a canny smile at his own handiwork* .... "Simply stunning...."
*he trailed off* "But it is the woman that makes the dress... not me *He
smiled and gave a half bow, not taking his eyes off the vision that was now
before him, the twinkling in his eyes belaying a hint of the irony at the bow, not
really submitting himself to her*
Samantha Blaire: Purrpurr smiled back coyly, looking down at herself and giving
a twirl. "Very nice, Mordath," she said, smoothing over the overcoat with her
long, elegant fingers. "Its so soft... you truely do have a talent there..." she
trailed off, remember how bitter she gets when she thinks on it. So many of the
fa'e have such unique gifts... she had YET to find hers.
Sabin Duvert: *Mordath shrugged simply* Magic has been in my blood since
before this birth... *he gazed out Westward, his eyes growing serious* I
wonder how much has changed since our absence... *he looked back to
PurrPurr* And since your arrival.... something about the place perhaps.... you
tug more on my memories than ever before....
Samantha Blaire: Purr looked up from admiring herself to meet his eyes. "I
have?"
Sabin Duvert: *he suddenly found the runes lining his sleeve very interesting,
tracing his finger over them... making doubly sure that the patterns were
correct, even though he had cast the spells himself* Yes... well... I can feel it in
myself as well..... this is home... moreso than Gaia ever was. I have never set
foot here in my life, yet when I close my eyes I can smell the air, know which
way is "Home"....
Sabin Duvert: *he looked at her seriously again* Just keep in mind... I cannot
yet accompany you into the seelie kingdom...
Samantha Blaire: Purr gave a warm smile in his direction, stepping closer...
drawn to him for some reason. Was he holding something back? And
moreover...why was she so keen on drawing it out of him. She reached out
and touched his sleeve where he examined it, drawing his attention away.
Thought at that moment he mentioned the seelie kingdom, and she drew her
hand away. "I know. I... I wonder what's going to happen. Will they know me? I
don't know where to begin. I don't even know exactly what I'm doing."
Sabin Duvert: *his breath caught in his throat as she approached, and he tried
to focus his thoughts again... he would NOT make the same damn mistake
this time again.... Queen or no Queen...*
Sabin Duvert: Well.... who is to say.... Reincarnation is certainly not unheard of
among the fey.... however most do not remember themselves at first.... and for
me at least... I had a great barrier to get past....
Samantha Blaire: Where will you go? Back to your old kingdom?
Sabin Duvert: *Mordath nodded* back to the unseelie lands... to see what has
happened of my property. See who is in control and start spreading some
"ears"... Keep the mirror I gave you close. I will let you know if I have need of
leaving. Or if you wish to do so. If you are in trouble - I can find you through
the mirror.
Samantha Blaire: Purr picked up the mirror from the grass and ran the cool
handle between her hands. She held it close to her chest, looking back to
Mordath with a confident nod.
Sabin Duvert: One other thing....
Samantha Blaire: Yes?
Sabin Duvert: Time flows differently here from other realms.... it may be much
later in time by the time we return.
Samantha Blaire: "Oh..." Purr lowered her eyes and thought of Kamiki and
Simon. For the first time since arriving -which had only been a few hours
though it felt like much longer - Purr felt a pang of homesickness. She had left
so suddenly.. she hoped Kamiki wasn't too upset at her. Or worried.
Sabin Duvert: *Mordath gave a serious nod* Thus is why I merely intend on
this being an informational trip, and setting up some.... spies, as it were
Samantha Blaire: Purrpurr nodded. "I understand." Her eyes wandered over to
the castle looming in the distance...barely visable through the mists surrounding
it. She looked back to Mordath expectantly... not sure if she was ready to
venture out on her own.
Sabin Duvert: *his face softened for a moment into a half smile* I am sure you
will do fine.
Samantha Blaire: Purr smiled back. He was so handsome when he smiled.
Really smiled, at least.. not that "I'm up to something" smirk he has. This
was the Mordath she admired so. He was her oldest friend... She stepped
closer and pulled him into her embrace, suddenly feeling very, very alone in this
strange, but hauntingly familiar, place.
Sabin Duvert: *he clung to her for a moment, remembering her - his feelings
overlapping... his sister, he grew up with her... teased her mercilessly, but she
was always there.... and... Titania.... the object of forbidden lust.... a lust... or
perhaps even love... that he had died for.* Take care on your journey... and if
you are in trouble, you need but call my name into the mirror.
Samantha Blaire: She hesitantly pulled away, part of her not wanting to let him
go just yet. A compromise, she kept her hands on his, not yet releasing them
from her grasp. "Thank you... for everything, M'lord."
Sabin Duvert: *he nodded, the smile lingering dangerously on his lips* You
are welcome, Milday.
Samantha Blaire: Purr started, transfixed at his lips and something stirred
inside her. This land.... it was doing funny things to her. She had never felt
quite like this. EVERYTHING looked... richer, deeper... sexier. Even
Mordath. Even though there were a thousand and one other things she
should be thinking about...before she could stop herself she leaned forward,
ever so softly- more of tease than anything - brushed her lips over that smile on
his face.
Sabin Duvert: *Mordath froze, the thoughts in his head that were conflicting
toussled about now, in an all out war. Better judgement against desire, the
thought of her as a sibling versus her as the regal beautiful Queen Titania....
the hope of a future... and the mistake of the past. The smile faded from his
mouth, and after what seemed to him like an infinate hesitation, he pulled
back, placing a long, elegant finger to her lips* Shhhh.... PurrPurr.... we
all have things to discover here.... things to remember... and things to
learn from... *his expression looked almost pleading for a moment, his
regal bearing slipping*
Samantha Blaire: She pulled the skin of her lips beteen her teeth for a moment,
trying to swallow the desire and heat rising to her face from not getting what
she wanted. For his words were true. She squeezed his hands in hers and
finally let them go. "I suppose this is goodbye for now, then?"
Sabin Duvert: *Nods* But just for now. You have your business, and I mine.
For now, we must keep them separate less we risk all.
Samantha Blaire: Purrpurr nodded, knowing he was right. "I will see you again,
soon, m'lord." She picked up her bag and turned back towards the castle,
taking her first steps down the hillside to the road that lay beyond. Before
dissapearing down the slope, she looked over her shoulder one last time,
waving back at Mordath, and gave a reassuring smile.
Sabin Duvert: *he lifted his hand and waved back, watching her leave, and
sighing to himself, inwardly reprimanding himself, warning himself not to let
things repeat themseves.... this wis his... this was their second chance at life...
and at the success that they had dreamed of.*
Sabin Duvert: *When she was out of sight, he glanced downward at the pool of
shadow at his feet, and gave a silent beckon, as Tslanak arouse out of them
and reformed before giving a fawning bow*
M'lord? How can I serve you?
Sabin Duvert: The time has come, Tslanak.... Time for us to begin our return....
you know what you must do. Find our old allies... crawl into the deepest
shadows and listen for the whispers. I will summon you when I need you
again. Until then... start stirring the depths... let them know that their lord has
returned.
